The Very First Japanese Soft Tip Darts World Champion to Win
10 Million Yen Prize Money!
Final round of the world soft tip darts tournament “SOFT DARTS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2012 THE WORLD GRAND FINAL (here after GRAND FINAL)” where the world’s top players compete head-to-head was held in Hong Kong on December 16th.
Takehiro Suzuki was the first Japanese player to achieve the brilliant feat of winning the grand champion title.
“SOFT DARTS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2012 THE WORLD (hereafter THE
WORLD)” was launched with an intention to deliver excitement and enthusiasm by removing the barriers between soft tip and steel tip darts and enabling players around the world to take part in the dart games without restrictions such as nationality.
A number of world-famous top players were among the GRAND FINAL participants and as expected, they played intense and exciting games. Takehiro Suzuki defeated last year’s grand champion Paul Lim in the semi-final by closing out a tight match. He won a sweeping victory over Christian Perez from Philippines in the final and was crowned THE WORLD 2012 grand champion and received 1 Million Hong Kong Dollars (approx. 10M Japanese Yen) in prize money.
Takehiro kept his smile even during the games and that captured the attention of the audience in the tournament venue as well as the attention of live webcasting viewers all around the world.
Takehiro is also taking part in the “SOFT DARTS PROFESSIONAL TOUR JAPAN”, the locally held tournament which is specially supported by DARTSLIVE Co., Ltd. (HQ: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Shintaro Takaya, hereafter DARTSLIVE).
